These photos appear to have all been from one single album/scrapbook, but, when I bought them at auction, they were simply a stack of snapshots glued to loose shreds of black construction paper. Some were in worse shape than others, and I did what I could to make the faces legible in all of them, improving color and contrast, as well. Beyond that, WYSIWYG: a pile of snapshots from somewhere around 1920-1927.
They kind of blew me away…
So you can see, the Roaring Twenties were not just bootleggers and flappers. There were some Gleesons, too.
And, at the bottom of it all, a Real McCoy.
